Cables for Robotic Lawn Mowers – MGW GREEN ZONE WIRE
Part Number: MGW GREEN ZONE WIRE
Cables that define the operating area for robotic lawn mowers. Available in standard and Heavy Duty versions with fiberglass braiding and a TPE coating.

01
Key Parameters
Standard — 1.5 mm²
- Wide operating temperature range
- Resistance to extremely low temperatures in winter (without the insulation crumbling) and high temperatures in summer in sunny locations.
- Operating temperature range
- −40 °C to +70 °C
Heavy Duty — 1.5 mm²

02
Construction
Standard — 1.5 mm²
- A wire made of flexible tinned copper
- Tinning effectively protects copper from electrochemical corrosion and oxidation in humid environments, which is crucial in cases where the insulation is damaged or at connection points.
- Vein
- Flexible tinned copper stranded wire (CuSn), Class 5 multi-strand construction per EN 60228.
- Insulation
- High-density polyethylene (HDPE). An insulation version with an AR rodent-repellent additive is available.
- Coating Colors
- green, black, or as specified in the order.
Heavy Duty — 1.5 mm²
- Vein
- Flexible tinned copper stranded wire (CuSn), Class 5 multi-strand construction per EN 60228.
- Insulation
- high-density polyethylene.
- Coating
- TPE thermoplastic elastomer; a coating version with AR rodent-repellent additive is available.
- Coating Colors
- green, black, or as specified in the order.
Fiberglass reinforcement in the form of a braid, coverage density of at least 85%

Properties
Standard — 1.5 mm²
- Tensile and Flexural Strength
- High resistance to stresses generated during installation in the ground (e.g., using trenching machines) and to soil movements caused by freezing and thawing.
- Abrasion resistance
- The outer insulation is made of an abrasion-resistant material.
- Resistance to moisture and swelling in water
- Ensures complete electrical insulation during prolonged exposure to wet soil, preventing micro-short circuits and the leakage of the loop signal to ground.
- Resistance to biological and soil factors
- Completely resistant to fungi, mold, soil bacteria, and the acids and bases found in garden fertilizers.
- Weather resistance
- Durability of HDPE external insulation when installed on a lawn (protection against thermal aging and sun-induced cracking).
- Stability of Dielectric Properties
- Maintaining consistent insulation and electrical parameters, which ensures a stable induction loop signal for the mower's navigation system.
- Available in a version with AR rodent repellent
- Voles and moles are one of the main causes of damage to loops in garden irrigation systems; adding a repellent to the HDPE eliminates the problem of gnawing without the need for steel armor.
Heavy Duty — 1.5 mm²
- Resistance to mechanical damage and pressure
- Protection against damage caused by robot wheels, aerators, scarifiers, or garden tools (thanks to the use of fiberglass braiding).
- Tensile and Flexural Strength
- High resistance to stresses generated during installation in the ground (e.g., using trenching machines) and to soil movements caused by freezing and thawing.
- Abrasion resistance
- Protection of the outer coating (TPE) against cracking and abrasion caused by contact with rocks and gravel.
- Resistance to UV radiation and weather conditions
- Durability of the TPE outer coating when used on a lawn (protection against thermal aging and sun-induced cracking).
- Stability of Dielectric Properties
- Maintaining consistent insulation and electrical parameters, which ensures a stable induction loop signal for the mower's navigation system.
